Do we want Portsmouth, New Forest, Dorset?

yeah thats cool with me, what place has ian got in mind
Do we want a Rolling Road day?
i'd like to know what my car is doing, shuchy would probably like to as well. how many cars do they need?
I'm thinking either 18/19th or 25/26th weekend
i think the sundays would be better as suchy does most of his weddings on saturdays

Ideally, at least 10. More the better, as they may offer discounts if the quantities justify it.

If you want Rolling Road, this may not be possible on a Sunday.
Suchy, do you have a free Saturday anytime soon mate?

The Rolling Road I have in mind is in Hurn, which is near the airport in Christchurch.
This is about an hour from Portsmouth.

If you know another RR in the - I dunno - Romsey area? to be mid-ish between Dorset and Portsmouth, please let me know and I will contact them and see if they do Sundays.

No worries Suchy.
Maybe we postpone a RR to then? And just have a 'normal' meet this month?

What do people want to do? Anyone other than Chris and Rob with an opinion, or shall I just go and arrange something?

Gordon

The last RR suggestion for whatever reason didn't get a huge response - maybe it should take place as a special/one-off meet and we should have our monthly meet as normal ie justba drive a coupla drinks natter etc

Dorset's turn? :D

Sundays seem cool with most anyway Chris, so don't worry, lots of people work Saturdays... even me on the rare occasions I can be bothered...

Richard, fair comment mate, was half considering a fairly early RR, then meet up with those, who didn't want to go to that too, at the Avon Causeway, or somewhere fairly near the RR place...
Seperate dedicated RR meet? OK with me mate.

Thanks very much for the ideas guys. Any more suggestions?

Hi mate how about Sunday 19 Aug meet at Pickets post at 12 and then we can go for some photos at that pond you talked about and then on to the pub, we could go to the Cat and the Fiddle as its got a large car park but its only a suggestion.

Awwww love your sig!! good idea as long as we get a good fast drive in with no fjords or moats to drive through this time!! Does that mean i gotta get my camera out again if we stop at the pond? least there wont be 300 cars this time!!

At least you won't need to climb to the top of the castle and it's a nice fast road to the Cat and the Fiddle mate.

You have the normal 40 mph in the forest and then the road to the pub is just how you wont it. Gordon will be fine mate.

count me in guys. any sort of meet is fine by me. something like the new forest meet a few weeks ago but without the monsoon/floods gor, if you could have a quick word with HIM upstairs, that would be great! (plus i can bring all cookies parts required and clear my kitchen table! ). looking forward to it already. ps any wannabe convoyers to gaydon? a27/m27/a34/m40,etc.

Any other pubs you prefer then Richard?
Haven't been to the Cat & Fiddle for years, I must admit, so I'll take your word on that. Carpark, agreed, would have been perfect though.

Same pub as last time maybe? We can go the dry way, rather than through the deep water again...
Or we could go to the pub Mark took us to the time before?

Thanks for the responses guys and girls...

(Nice to see the sig pic now works Lisa, will have to update it for you with the new front end...)

Cheers all

I'll be heading up to Gaydon on Sunday, as are Lisa and Paul I believe, but they're going seperately a bit later.
I know Spook has been saying he wants to go, as has Jackie (Aretha), so maybe we can set up a convoy with them...
I'll send some texts / PMs this eve...

Yeah, heard you're easy... and, er, yeah, Lisa's front end looks great...

No worries Paul, maybe she doesn't bring the car once, and tells people why when she's there and takes the car and file next time... Dunno pal, up to her...

I know I want to too, but I only have a 318 auto...
Does filler make it lighter and faster? (sorting the rust in the wing at the moment... )
