I wont be going.
If you have not been before its worth going to once.
However, imho the BMWCC charge a membership fee if you want to show, then on top of that you have to buy a ticket.
What ????
So we pay for the privilege of showing our pride and joy ?
No thankyou, the BMWCC is cash rich and could help us older car types but does not.
It concentrates on champagne runs to France and newer cars which neither interest us or appeal to us.
Read the monthly magazine and if you have insomnia then this is the cure, its a boring read.
They have totally missed the point about enthusiasts and are trying to run it as a business without really thinking about the genuine cars.
Imagine going to a show and getting a duster over a 1 or 2 year old car and winning a prize !
They are not about true enthusiasts but more about 'How much can you afford' !
They make money hand over fist but do not allow us true enthusiasts to show our rides without the penalty of paying ! Outrageous !
Yes peeps check it out if you have not been but remember you are lining the pocket of the fat cats !
Wont say much more because it would be defamatory !

Anyone organized a zone section down there this year.?
There won't be a zone section, this is organised by the BMWCC, any BMWCC members who are also zone members will get to park up and display there vehicles. Non BMWCC members will have to use the outside area car park. I will be there marshalling in the main E30 area, and for some reason i have to pay to be there as well - am i stupid?
The only way a non BMWCC member can gain entry to the main show parking area is if they are entering the 'show & shine'. They will not then be allowed to join the E30 parking...
P.s Edited the thread title, hope you don't mind!

Well if ian and scott are on the door like last year then it wont be a problem for a lot of people to get in

How do they know if you are a BMWCC member, is it simply by displaying the CC or Register stickers?

i thinks its about time they clamped down on non registered cars getting into the display area
there are members of the car club, who pay for the privelidge and they couldnt get their cars in the display area
last year it was cramped, to many cars got through the net which were heaps of crap, one car i remember was a black thing with filler and primer on the arches
i understand what ian tried to do last year and let some zone cars in which were not CC members, but which were nice but its back fired because scrap got in.
its a car club event, the people who cry about not being able to have their cars on show, just deal with it. there is a general bmw parking section where i've parked up in the past
£35 a year is not a lot for member ship, you do get dicounts with it and you will have priority at shows like this. thats a fair cost imo

Marc, could do the same as last year and all the Guildford crew could meet the South Mims lot at the junction after you join the M40 from the M25, worked fine before.
