The forum.BMW5 have organised a rolling road day on September 15th in Aylesbury, are there any E30 owners that would like to come along?

There are currently 12-15 5 series booked so far, mainly E28's at the moment, the cost is £40 per car £20 deposit and £20 on the day. 8)

I am going to take my E28 528i, i need to know if i am kidding myself about increased power

Please let me know if you are interested, we will all get a dyno print out of our car's efforts winkeye

Hello everyone sorry i haven't replied sooner, i was fitting a LSD in my E28 528i winkeye last night.

This rolling road day is the second one that has been organised by Tusker, who also has an E28 528i. The one that he organised a few weeks back at the same venue and was so popular he has booked another :D

I couldn't go to the last one, but most who attended last time are booked again this time, and are carrying out mods to try to improve output for this forth coming run :P there were some real suprises, some seem to have a lot of horses gone missing  and one who thought he had a stock low mileage E28 535i se found out it was pushing out 230BHP 8O

As for the number of places available, Tusker say "The more the merrier"

I think it would be good if you could do the list thing please winkeye

2.

I really do think it would be a great opportunity to get E30's, E28's E34's, E39's together and probably have a good laugh at my expense for having a highly modified E28 528i that has less power than standard

Please add to the list if you want to join us and i will then give you details for sending the £20 deposit to Tusker (Alan).

P.S. Chris and Nathan, i haven't forgotten about Ant, but funds are extremely tight at the moment and "Her that must be obeyed" has said she is going to cut off my dangly bits if i spend any more on my F**king cars!

Are you suggesting that i deceive my wife? How very dare you, good thinking

Shame she'll see it on the credit card statement

Perhaps i'll just contact Ant and get a quote, yeah right winkeye

 I know it's asking alot, but it would be great if you E30s could get a list together to match the forum.bmw5.co.uk booking, concidering this contains E12, E28, E34, E39 and E60 there are only 15 definates, perhaps you could show us all up winkeye

It would be good to see CHRIS and Nathan there, prior to your proposed mods Nathan?

I must say it'll be great to have a joint E30/E28 day, some comradely competition perhaps?

There's room for 20 cars on the day although I will keep a reserve list. I've asked Jamie if he'll liaise with you good e30zoners as I'm not on here often, he's not responded yet

The master thread is HERE

I surprised no one else has jumped at he chance of this, sound like it will be a good day and there's plenty of people with tuned e30's on here and its not far from the M25. Hopefully some more will join the list!

Just arrived home from this well organized event.Only two 'proper' BMW's,BSS325i's mint, mint black 325i and my scruffy 4 door 320ise with the 2.7.BSS325i's car made 195BHP,the general opinion was that this 42000 miler has seen a cam change or a chip at some point in its sheltered life.My 2.7 made a very belivable 189BHP,with the power dropping off at the top end.I have just aquired a 323i cam,the hunt is now on to find a 525e head to modify with 325 valves and proper oil supply(as demonstrated by Temple30)and try to find a S/H BBS exhaust manifold... that should give me the magic 200BHP!!Once again, many thanks to the 5 series bunch for allowing us to bring 'proper' cars to their event, they are a decent bunch of grown up lads!!
