just browsing the meets and events section and can find no real mention of this yrs gaydon show, I thought with it being the e30's 30th anniversary it would have been a big one on here... is the e30 zone doing a stand this yr? or is anyone going?

18th August, clashes with RetroRides.
I was going to go Gaydon but as RR13 is closer I'm going to attend that instead.

Why is there not a big zone presence at Gaydon
I heard there are supposed to be 30 E30s with the car club on display ....

I went a few years back with a mate but we got funnelled into the normal parking area. how do you get a spot with other zoners. Would anyone be interested in meeting up and convoying on there on the Sunday? I would be coming up from j9 m40

I went a couple of years ago, it was a good show, but it clashes with Cranleigh, which I do love, I'll be there watching the sickos perving over Austin Allegros!

I know mate, I never went on holiday last year and still missed santapod as I had to work and this year we've ended up with two week holidays that are on Gaydon and Santapod weekends. Next year is going to be a big effort to do the German show, Gaydon and Santapod. Was holding to see you for a chat aswell.

i'll be at gaydon at the BMWCC display.....there has been a zone presence where you could book a place before, and would be a shame if zoners turned up and could not show their cars...what is the official zone position on this?

Luckily for me I'm in work
The urge to see chavved up scrap on the centre spot hasn't won me over to throw my Sunday in. If I was off then I would of bought some BK reps and dressed it up to look shit just so it can take centre stage at prestigious Gaydon and for the 30 year anniversary of the E30.
Harsh but true. I'm out.

Has anyone from here put themselves up / out for liaising with the BMWCarClub office re things like parking allocation?? anticipated numbers?? buying early-bird (cheaper) tickets?? etc
Do not expect to turn up on the day and 'assume' you will have been allocated a parking area and expect to park together as without any pre-planning it simply will not happen then you who are going (not club members) may be a little pee'd off
This is only a polite heads up guys as given it's the 30th then would be great to have a strong e30 presence.

Considering there is only a few who have said they will be attending, I don't think it's worth anyone's time to organise anything for this show. Anyone interested in parking together usually drive in together too so they'll be next to who ever they drive in with.
Keep in mind, if people want a show stand, organise one... Don't think someone else will do it for you

strange how most members of the zone frown upon Gaydon ? but then santapod, another of the e30 zone's largest meets has been quickly dwindling in numbers over the last few years...
there has been no team support/gazebo/banners etc. from any of the E30zone team members at either show for a few years now,
it seems their interest is usually in some show way down south, very sad really when the zone has lots of members as far north as the top of scotland
I like it and will be there
