Glamis weekend show, 13th and 14th July 2013

The Scottish Transport Extravaganza is an annual event and a combination of Scottish clubs have worked together to create one stand for Retro BMW's the last few years.

It's a great weekend, lots of old cars, auto jumble, stalls with tools and cleaning stuff and there is camping available for the whole weekend if you want.

Given it's the E30s 30th Anniversary in the UK, we'd like to get 30 e30s together for this meet, as well as any other old BMW's.

You can attend on Saturday or Sunday or both, camping is available Fri and Sat night. Costs for exhibitors is usually £5 and you get two entrance tickets with every car on display.

This is my last meet as part of the zone's meets organiser team and I'd like to leave on a high.

Please post your names below, your car details and what day(s) you would like to attend. Sunday is the busier day of the two.

We've never had much more than a dozen cars before and there are at least 60 zoners in Scotland so it can be achieved.

Be good to have the non standard and standard cars, it's the way of E30s and the anniversary celebration should reflect this.

Fingers crossed you get down.

It won't be the track turd, it'll be Grant's old touring with my M52 in it. Still non standard I suppose.

Starting it next week so might have it done in reasonable time, still depends on new job though.

What's happened to the grey 2 door ? If it's getting crushed I'll buy the IX bodykit from you.

Cirrus my good man :P

The entire shell is for sale, with the arches. Would be the perfect track shell for you.....miles better than that Vulcan turd. There's very very little rust on mine. :)

Your timing is pish, the Vulcan stays. Two holes in the floor, OS boot pocket, above the battery tray and one hole in the outer cill isn't bad considering.

Damn, with your e30 buying disease I felt certain it was sold. :P

Mind and have a good look at the front end on that Vulcan......I didn't like the look of it at all.....some bad fettlage on there. 8O

I can understand you reaching that conclusion, you have seen the trend. If I hadn't just pulled in a Tech 1 Sport in Lachs I'd be on to you.

Vulcan's got a bent bumper mount vertical shaft so it's had a knock in the front,

Would really like your car on the 'zone' stand, it is the best E30 BMW ever made after all. Also hoping to get the oldest one in Scotland also, a "Y" reg 323i owned by a guy on here.

We'll see how we get on with numbers, worst case we'll ask for side by side pitches if we have to split.

No bother mate stick my name down then and I'll give up my space on the car club stand to someone else.

That's 10 cars between RetroBMW and the zone. Think we'll take deposits this year. I've managed to get my hands on a 6m x 3m waterproof structure that we use to sit in if the weather is problematic.

Deposit won't be much, probably a £5 per head.

Hoping to have a small marquee and a barbecue so we make our own nosh and hot drinks and keep out of any rain that may come.

Well i should be there in either one of my cars, more than happy to put down a deposit and if low and behold some other disaster occurs someone else can have my slot - the deposit already having been paid.

Think this year it is £4 per car

We'll make it a round tenner then, £6 deposit. Not too shabby considering you get two show passes with each car and there will be a waterproof shelter to sit in.

Sparkling wit and conversation comes free.....

Mine is by no means a mint example and the exhaust pipe isnt to everybodies taste but it should be something different that people might enjoy to look at.

Il post up on the aberdeen bmw forum too and try get a couple of those E30 guys down

They don't have to be mint, just presentable. There were a couple of lads from Dundee turned up in a Black IS which hadn't been washed or hoovered a few years ago, which wasn't acceptable.
