DELAMERE FORREST MEET 12.00 TOMORROW!! (SUNDAY 20TH JUNE)

by E30Gheko
I organised a meet last year in the good old days when I had my own restaurant in Wales. I'm sure those who came will remember it to be a good day out.

I've moved to the Wirral now, and don't have a suitable venue at my disposal, but would like to arrange a summer get together of as many E30's from the North West as possible...

This will take place one Sunday in June. If anyone's interested in making this a goer get your name down on here. :)

Meeting up in North Wales is not a bad idea. It's still do-able for me and the roads are far better than round here...

Sounds good.

Having somthing to look forward too may encourage me to get the turd running again for the summer.

I can offer Autopia Service Centres as a meeting point if you're interested?

We're just south of Blackburn and there's good driving roads nearby; Rivington is like a mini-lake district, also just north of Blackburn is the Trough of Bowland and of course West Yorkshire moors.

If you're interested and can give me notice/numbers, I can try figure out some burgers, etc?

best regards,

Darren

Hey guys,

I'll be up for a meet in the North West. I live in Manchester (Well Cheshire) some great roads around here and Tatton Park is a great place to host some meets as they regularly have VW and MINI meets here. its just off the Junction 19 on the M6

I haven't got an E30 yet. I have been looking for over a year for a 2 door 325i Chromie, just can't seem to find the right one at the right price. Hopefully wil have it by June as I have increased the budget. :P

If you're interested in getting your cars out for the 'Drive-it Day' on the 25th April, we're hosting an free all-day BBQ for classics that call in on us en-route, if you'd like to arrange your meet then, you'll be very welcome and we'll have other marques visiting across the day.

best regards,

Darren

well if the 20th is ok with most people we could try either Delamere some nice roads round there. Or when I lived in wales I used to take my old E21 round the flintshire liesure drive some awsome roads a good mix of sweeping a roads and twisty b roads. It can also be picked up at the end of the M56 so is kind of central for a north wales / north west meet. There are also some good pubs along the way. :P

Sorry Rob if im taking over your thread but these North West / Wales meets often come to nothing and I want to push this on.

For the welsh one.

There is a similar route around Cheshire Delamere area but I can't find a site for it.

We often use these routes when we go out for a blast as they normally provide fantastic driving roads.

20th around Delamere sounds good for me. Nice choice. Some decent pubs etc and good roads too. I'm not massively familiar with the area so open to suggestions on where would be good to meet. The forrest springs to mind but can be a bit awkward to find...
