THORESBY 2009! AUGUST 3iST.

Once again I'm going to organise a BMW Car Club stand for the Thoresby Classic Car show on August 31st. This was a good bash last year with a very impressive line up of cars - we outdid everyone else with 18 E30's in a row plus an E21 and an E28.
E30 Zoners are of course very welcome to join us - we had a number of non BMWCC Zoners last year which swelled the ranks.

Thoresby park is near Ollerton, North Nottinghamshire and literally 3-4 minutes from the A1 so access is very, very easy.

I'm going to set a limit of 20 cars, and once again it's just £5 per car entry (two adults and two nippers). This year they will let us bring 5 post 1994 cars. I'm sure you think your P reg E36 316i is wonderful, but we need to display something really spectacular for paying punters. We'll probably have a CSL E46 for example.

What have you got? Needless to say, only a cheque/postal order/crisp £5 note will guarantee you a place!

Last year was very good - let's make this really special. If I fill up the 20 places by the end of July I will buy another 10 spaces.

If you want to just arrive on the day, we can accomodate you I'm sure.

As per last year, we'll be meeting in Mc Donalds nearby at Sparrows fart, cruise the 3 miles to Thoresby and set up.

Andy

I'm up for this again, this year however it wont be my "A" reg 1984 moredoor turd, but my "F" reg 89 moredoor turd instead, little different me thinks.

Misano red for a start, just about most of the options you could think off, Custom factory M3 style black leather with red piping, even down to the factory rear moredoor M3 type rear bench (See piccies) MTech 2 kit, gen 16" Alpinas, steering wheel and gear knob all optioned up at Sytners Notts for the proud first owner, thread below, have a look and let me know what you think.

Dont worry i have replaced the ebay alpina bonnet and boot emblems with the proper BMW ones, and got rid of the "Alpina" badge on the boot and replaced in the correct position a nice shiny "325i" one instead :D

Chaps: This is now being organised by Steve Bostock as opposed to myself. I basically don't have time to do it and will be visiting my folks in Canada around that time so may not even be in the UK.

Here is his profile so you can PM him your details:

Diddler, may we count on your presence?

The absolute deadline for entries is August 10th.

I would be up for attending this, last year was a FAIL due to the show overlapping with my last minute holiday. How much would it be to pay on the gate as opposed to buying a ticket before hand? Cheers

About £10+ from memory. Only thing is, pay on the gate and you go in the public car park.

Can we start a list?
