Hello Zoners. Hope you all well.
I see there are a couple of convoys planned coming up from London and S. Mimms.
Last year I lead a convoy from e36coupe.com from the Caxton Gibbet in Cambridgeshire down an excellent cross country route I know to the UBMW at Santa Pod. This is a great meeting point for anyone who is coming up the M11 or A1 from the South. If anyone would like to join us we will be meeting at the Shell garage HERE at 0900 to avoid the queues.
From the A1, turn off at Junction 9 - Baldock and follow new bypass on the A505 to Royston where you pick up the B1198 towards Huntingdon. Then it's a straight fast quiet road all the way to the Caxton Gibbet which you will find about 1 mile past the Village of Caxton and is characterised by a standalone Chinese establishment called Yim-Wah house on one side and the Shell/Little Chef on the other. 15-20 mins from A1
From the M11, turn off at Junction 14 and follow the A428 towards St Neots until you see Yim Wah House. 10 mins from M11
Easy. If you might join us then please pop your name down so we know who to expect.
UBMW Santa Pod - suggestion for those of you coming up....

Hi Cotty. Been away a while. Long and terrible story that I shall tell you all about on the 23rd.
M1 from S. Mimms would be a terrible way to go. Trust me on that. You're heading for my home stomping ground! S. Mimms is the bottom of the A1 is it not. the Pod is half way between the A1 and M1 so you'd be going out to come back. Much better to come and meet us at Caxton and have a nice swoopy A road blast.
