Hello again.....feels like home

Evening all!

Another 'not a newbie' post. But an old timer returning.

Having been without an e30 for more years than I care to remeber, I have, at last, got one back in the garage!

This one is very much a project compaired to what I used to own. But (financial) needs must and I will take what I can get, whilst deeply regreting selling my old calypso red 325i se!

So now I have a late Mugello Rot 318i touring (m40b18) in need of some TLC.... with a view to keeping it period correct, but add some smiles with a future m20b25 conversion.

Why have I returned to e30 owernership after all these years you may ask? Well, I image we all share similar thoughts. But, this will be my 5th one that I am privilaged to have my name on the V5C in my near 34 year driving career. And I crave the simplicity of proper "old skool cool'.

I can no longer stand the view down my street. The near never ending sea of identical, bland clones of cars. Character-less modern monstrotisies. I want enjoyment back into my life. I want to feel engaged and smile each time I sit behind the wheel. I want the sunroof open and to hear the sweet song of the staight six, to be a petrolhead once more. .... Perhaps it stinks of a mid life crisis.... maybe ... but what better way, than return to what I know to be.... the ultimate driving machine.

Also big thanks to Phil B for reactivating my account and to Alex for putting me intouch with him.

Thanks SpeedTouch

I have a few photos and was wondering what to do with them. You have given me an idea, I might start a bit of an online blog. I'll post a link here once I get it up and running.
