E30 Zone

Hi all, thought I’d share my journey so far and hopefully meet some likeminded e30 heads along the way.

So I bought my 320i coupe around 6 years ago with every intention of getting straight into it, however, things didn’t go to plan with work, kids and life in general getting in the way.

After being sat for such a long time of course there were rust issues to deal with, I have now had all rust dealt with and the car has had a full respray in its original colour (diamantschwarz metallic black).

I’m currently at the stage of putting her back together which is a challenge as it’s been around 2 years since I stripped it down (yes it’s been a long process) so I find myself staring at parts scratching my head sometimes but I’m slowly getting there.

I have most of the parts needed, however, theres a few silly bits I do need but I’m actively looking and I’m sure I’ll get there in the end (if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated).

Anyway that’s all for now but I will update as things move forward.

Nice looking car. Mine is the same colour but I've tackled mine the other way around doing all the mechanicals first and will do the bodywork later (mainly because I can do the mechanical work myself). I've used Brutus on here a couple of times recently for used parts and he's been well priced and quick delivery. Who did you respray and where are they based?

Thanks, great colour that’s the main reason I went for this one, see I went this way round as wanted to make sure the shell/bodywork’s all good rather than having the mechanical side of things good in an old rust bucket.

Had the respray done at a friends body shop based in Hastings, ridgeway autos.
