Hi Guys
a great site I am very pleased to be a part of
Had 911 3.2 Carrera's for the last 10 years, but now I have a proper car, I've learnt a lot from the site, 1st edition with no mtech kit / but still got leather door cards etc... It has the later motorsport coloured wheels which I like, I do have another complete set of wheels that are not painted I may put on or sell
Great site and pleased to be part of it
Dan
There are a few bits that need doing so will seek your help over the next coming months

Welcome to the zone, very nice cab, please don’t take this the wrong way but I could be wrong but I’ll think you’ll find your car is a chromie (ie Chrome bumpered ) with a sport interior and wheels to match.what you need to do is go into your BMW deerlership armed with the last 6 letters and numbers of your vin number and ask for a spec sheet print out,and will show you all about the car when it rolled off the production line, like I said either way still a nice cab, good luck.

Thanks guys
Have a read through this on the forum
https://www.e30zone.net/e30wiki/index.p ... Motorsport
It talks about an early motorsport ?? Only 40 in 1988
Production Numbers
40 in 1988 (Chrome)- Macau Blue
250 in 1989 Nogaro Silver & Macau Blue
250 in 1990 Sebring Grey & Macau Blue
50 in 1991 Calypso Red & Maruritus Blue
Now I’m confused

Well that’s very interesting, I didn’t know about BMW made half a sport car (no not taking the p#ss) I didn’t know how to put it, again I could be wrong, but in the last photo of your car, under the front bumper there seems to be a bit chrome.Anyway as I said go into a deerlership and get a spec sheet or have a look online.

I think there was some interesting stuff with 88' convertibles having half facelift and half preface features if I recall

yes buddy, i learnt about it from this forum when i bought the car., looking at the link i've put above
They didn't come with a bodykit etc... mine has got the leather seats, leather door cards, centre console in leather etc..
Mine has had the wheels painted like the later car, which i know isn't correct but i quite like to be fair, its not a minter but i'm really pleased with the car if i'm honest .. The motorsport bit was a bonus for me i just wanted an E30 Convertible i always liked as a kid
Thanks

There were motorsports cab without the M-Techniq bodykit. Best way to confirm is to ask for the spec sheet from the dealer (recommend Cotsworld here).

You could Also send Brianmooore a pm and ask him about your car, what he doesn’t know about E30s isn’t worth knowing or failing that bbs325i is another guy is very very clued up on all BMWs especially E30s.

First time ive clicked on this, as soon as I saw the interior/painted bumpers and no chrome I thought this is a rare one
Will be well worth getting it up to scratch

Looks like you’ve hit the jackpot,I wood keep it as original as possible or if you change anything ie wheels, interior, etc make sure you keep the original parts you take off.
