Hi mate. Did the guy pay cash for it? If not then check your dads bank statements and see who bought it
If you have the VIN/chassis number, put it on the mot gov website and find where the last MOT took place. Phone them and explain, ask if they could call the owner (they'll have his number on record) on your behalf, and then if the owner is happy to then you could get their phone number.

Hi there thanks for your help on finding F889JWD the sale was a cash sale as it was sold in 2006 I will try have a look through my old father's cupboards for some paperwork and see if I have any luck thanks again for everyone's help

You can't get the location of the MOT station any more without the number off the CURRENT V5. The MOT history has quite a list of issues so not impossible that it was fragged in 2014, being sold in 2014 with no MOT as that was still long before things went bonkers. Lots of 325s being fragged then especially if it wasn't a 2-door tin-top.

Ahh okay been searching through papers no luck with the vin/chassis number and yes it is a 325i cabriolet thanks
