Greetings from across the pond in Pennsylvania, US,

For the record, I have never and will never vote for Trump.

Having cleared that out of the way, I first got the e30 when I was 15 years old (previously was another unknown owner, then my dad's, then my sister's, now mine...a family heirloom), and now I'm 33. Due to endless mechanical issues and the need to focus on school, I put it aside and haven't driven it for about 15 years. Now that I'm finally ready to get back to it, there are multiple issues to address

1) Brake/fuel lines to stainless steel (currently original steel and rusted completely with holes, with the "spraying brake fluid when pushing the pedal" sign
2) Rebuilding motor (will take it to a shop to have the header shaven and have new seals since it's leaking oil in every location)
3) Complete suspension overhaul with camber/toe adjustment plates in the rear subframe and camber plates in front
4) Major exterior body work for rust, and euro metal bumper installation (I'll be learning how to weld with a gasless welder...should be fun!)
5) Interior comfort to sport seats with upholstery (found a supplier for Houndstooth 0211 if anyone wants to know) and heated seat addition, dash crack repair, sound system, etc.
6) Manual to motor sunroof conversion....anyone know where to wire the new wires to? Also, has anyone drilled new holes for mounting the motor to the original hand-crank plate, or is a new plate required?
7) Eventually, sunroof to moonroof conversion if I can find the right glass (e28's used saab 9000 moonroofs, but I don't think it fits e30s as far as I can tell from forums)
8 ) more?

Goal is to return it to stock with a few improvements. Not a racer/pimp-my-ride kinda guy.

Stay tuned!

Pics to come! Please don't be afraid when you see them...major holes in the trunk floor, paint is horrid with algae/possible plants growing, and I might have squirrels living inside!

6) Manual to motor sunroof conversion....anyone know where to wire the new wires to? Also, has anyone drilled new holes for mounting the motor to the original hand-crank plate, or is a new plate required?
Wire goes up the LH screen pillar from pin Q of the accessories socket. If you have electric windows, Q will already be occupied by a white/black wire, so your wire to the sunroof should have a plug to go into Q, plus a short flying lead with a socket on the end, to plug the displaced windows wire into.
Ground for the sunroof motor is a screw near the motor.
Yes, a long time ago, I fitted a motor to a manual plate. It looked like it was easy at first sight, but spacings were slightly different. Conclusion was that I should have sourced and fitted the matching motor mount as well.
Welcome to the zone!

This is for right hand drive vehicles, left, or either? Regardless, good to know the harness accounts for this. Thank you, very helpful! I'll get an electric mounting plate and avoid the fitting issue.
