Hi All,

Gosh! i don't know why i didn't register all them years ago, but here goes my car and story.

I own a 1989 E30 325I Convertible. The car has been in my ownership for almost 11-12yrs. I purchased it at an auction with minimal damage, for an absolute bargain. I was 21 at the time and always wanted a long term project car, it was then put into what was supposed to be a fully dry stored lockup for all these years, until i pulled it out earlier this month. In between i've had my fair share of sports hatches, Pulsar GTIR which i regret selling :( . Moving forward the time has now come in my life and to my luck where the price on these beauties has rocketed into the sky  and it's time to start putting her back together.

My list of factory options, as follows:

13 button OBC
Heated Seats
Air conditioning
Switchable gearbox
Factory Alarm
Deadlock system
Headlight washer system
Anthracite Check interior

I also have the originals for the following:

Factory key with functioning spot lamp
Original alarm fob remote (fully functioning)
Alarm box key
Deadlock key x2
Locking wheel nut key

The car has been fitted with genuine Mtec 2 door mouldings and side skirts, i have a good quality fibreglass Mtec 2 rear bumper and the front panel. Just need a bumper and lower valance, as everyone knows is becoming seemingly expensive and incredibly rare! Original an Alpine white but sometime in the 90's it was resprayed in a custom pearl'ish blue, not the greatest of jobs, but now it will be going back to factory colour.

Being sat in storage for such a longtime and me personally not gaining access to it, sadly the roof of the premises caved in and nobody reached out to inform me :( :x the car was covered but sadly foxes had got in and used the roof as a matinging/sh****** ground! Not only that, but water got in and ruined some electrical stuff around the dash area :o:

Further, some local lad saw the opportunity to jump into the lockup and thieve some exterior parts window strips, scuttle panels, wiper arms. Luckily doors were locked and he couldn't get in.

At the moment i'm trying to get her to fire up, all those years and problems that i've described above, i'm getting intermittent cranking but no life, will be posting on alternative posts regarding this. So here is my story guy's

I will post some pictures very soon..

Thanks and i shall look forward to hearing from yourselves! :)

Hary..

:D Ha ha welcome to the mad house!

I did something similar, parked up my E30 over 20 years ago but couple of years ago got the urge to do something with it. Still not there yet but been collecting bits here and there for it. winkeye

Welcome to the zone!
Before you go too far with firing this up, I'd consider changing the cambelt. It'll make quite a mess if it fails.

Thanks for the advice guy’s. Yes cam belt & water pump to be done very soon. Car isn’t being driven, it requires extensive bodywork and some panelling up. Going to be sorting all mechanical work out first 👍
