What ever you do, don't use Lancaster classic car insurance for you E30 they are well and truly utterly USELESS!!!
Seriously don't use Lancaster as they are a bunch of idiots. Their incompetence is unbelievable. By far the worst can insurance company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with!!

I’ve mostly used Classicline and they have always been very helpfull but who knows unless you’ve had to use after accident. They will give you discount if in the BMWCC. As I have three bm’s I easily save the club fee as most dealers will give a discount as well as will people like Opie oil..
Be warned the reason I have my r32 back after I had given it to the grandson is that he had the windows tinted (legal darkness) and painted the wheels a different colour, after accident they refused to repair as he hadn’t declared them.

Are you in Australia
I've previously insured my car through the broker A-plan who had a deal with the BMWCCGB (if you were a member). This last year I insured with performance direct. Their customer service left a lot to be desired at the beginning. Thankfully I've not had to deal with them (lets hope it stays that way). I will not renew with them again though.

You be surprised but a lot of insurances actually accept forum membership too. I thought about BMW CCUK but seeing as they had such bad press and feedback from previous members I decided against joining and the price difference on classic car policy was negligible anyway

Not sure what the bad press would have been for. It was always alright but after a couple of years it was £45 a year for a magazine I always forgot to read. I still get all the member emails and I'm sure my local rep won't call in the heavies and kick me out if I showed up haha.
