E30 Zone

Currently thinking about getting a cheap gutted E30 to put my LS400 V8 engine into it I need some ideas of what trans I should get and exhaust. Also need some pointers on the swap. I looked at Z3 Shift levers to but I read somewhere that it's not compatible with the 325e.

You've not given us much to go on, but:

The LS400 auto most likely wont fit in the tunnel

Other manual options are fairly rare and expensive (supra box iirc) so I'd use an adaptor to a common BMW inline 6 transmission.

With that in mind the Z3 lever will be fine but the shift rods will need to be cut and welded as theyll be the wrong length.

If your car pre or post facelift? We didnt get the 325e here, but I'm aware its a detuned 325i

I have a 316 auto Baur and have noooooo idea what you have said but quite a lot of our guy`s will do so keep the post`s coming mate
