On the hunt

I'm on the hunt for a good condition 325i Touring.

I have seen one priced at £6995. Does that seem an okay price for what is described as an excellent condition manual Touring?

Thanks

Sounds like strong money but it’s all about rust and paint. If it’s rust free, it’s probably worth it. That's highly unlikely these days. The mechanical bits are still fairly cheap and easy to source new and used but rust isn’t easy or cheap to fix.

Get it up on a ramp with the wheels and covers off (arch liners, body kit, boot covers, tailgate trim) and poke it with a long screwdriver. I work on £100 cost for each hole you make, as there's generally the same issue underneath whatever you find.

Do not part with any money on an E30 until you understand the repair cost of what you are taking on.
