June 2008 COTM - Metal Bumpers

Right then my little zonelings, time to get the autosol and P40 out.
With all this sunshine it seems a shame not to have it reflecting off a nice bit of chrome.
Your new category is metal bumper cars, chromies, pre-face, tech1, non-projector, non-impact, Oct 87 or earlier stamped on the V5. Convertibles will be let off with this last bit....
Let's see the best of the bunch before BMW started sheathing everything in sight with plastic!

To put the old lights back in or not to bother... Nah, I'll 'let' one of the others have it I think!

I would, but the projector lights are a good excuse not to associate with them.
Mr Clarksun, any chance of a ban on the posting of chromers with clear indicators? I value my eyesight...
Anyway, a certain Henna red car has surely got this one in the bag from the start...

For the novices amongst us,I didn't realise I had projectors.Has the previous owner upgraded or was this a factory change at a certain time? I didn't realise.
No cheating intended
I must do more research

Well having just had my Tech-1 kit sprayed and fitted i think this is rather timely...
Btw the wheels look nicer in person, the colour match is very good (they're dirty atm)
And sorry bout the projectors, but they're for increased night time visibility only, I promise
I plan on washing it soon, but weather hasn't been kind.
And the Before Shot (3 years before)

Thanks

, Well its still a way off but i think the wheels I'll settle on are the E39 M5 wheels. Only problem being they're 5 stud. But I'll cross that bridge when i come to it. (Btw i think you have this month's COTM in the bag)

They're brilliant those chrome bumper cars.
They have a classic elegance that was lost with the inception of the plastic bumper.
