We had an auto test day here on the Isle of Man and one guy in a Carlton 3000 drifted it around a track which had BIG metal and concrete barriers -Hats off to him - I would want a big open space for my limited drifting skills!

Alright mate,
I'm doing a drift day at Oulton Park on this Friday 26th, not too sure if there are any places left but try here.
http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/oulto ... n-park.asp
Check out the car trackdays calender, i paid 125 quid.
This is the first time i've been to participate but i've watched a few different times and it looks a laugh, there are 2 drift tracks to go on.

You wont be popular if your treating a trackday as a driftday

HAHA, No mate, its a proper introduction to drifting day. They use 2 different drift circuits in the middle of the main track. When doing a proper trackday i like to drive the car round not see if i can get a big slide going on.

Alright mate, where abouts? From Garston myself. That sleepy little hamlet where nothing untoward goes on.
Here's the link for the full calender.

Might be a bit far but javelin trackdays run a drift 'practice' day at Barkston heath near grantham £69, I use these guys for their open pit lane at elvington 'hammond go smash' airfield near york and its pretty well put together.
Not been for the drifting yet but its in the pipeline.

Get on
www.driftworks.com or
www.trampdrift.com, in the events sections. There are drift practice days all the time. Teesside in the north east near middlesborough can't be more than 100miles away? That is the best drift venue in the UK at present and at £60 a day for practice you can't go wrong.
Forget autocross and conventional track days, autocross is different entirely, and conventional track days unless you confirm first, generally they will black flag you're ass.
