just a strange question to ask, but does anyone know what lap times the m3s did back when they were racing in major championships in the uk.
just doing a little research into old and new technology. thanks.

in 1992 the last of the racing e30 m3's did lap times like this
Silverstone national 1.04 Ian Flux
Thruxton 1.22 Ian Flux
Oulton park 1.48 Matt Neal
Snetterton 1.16 Matt Neal
Brands GP 1.35 Matt Neal
Donnington international 1.43 Matt Neal
Silverstone GP 2.04 Matt Neal
Knockhill 1.01 Matt Neal
Pembrey 1.02 Sean Walker
Brands Indi 48 secs Matt Neal Graham hill bend now changed and paddock run off changed
i think im right in saying that Garry Whitaker does 54's round brands indi in its current layout

Hi at the tracks i have raced at i am currently about 5 second a lap of these times, snetterton 1.21, pembry 1.07.
But the more developed E30 M3 in the series are running Snetterton aprox 1.18 and Pembry 1.04.

remember most circuits themselves have changed over the years.
snettertons russel chicane mas made smaller, smoother and much faster sometime in the late 90s that alone probably saves over a second a lap.
i think most circuits will have had too many changes to make direct comparisons totally accurate

Its also worth remembering that the M3's that raced over here in the BTCC were not as powerful as the ones that raced in the DTM, ATCC, ITC and WTC

We did not race at Brand's as we had a clutch problem
