acid dipping

just upgraded my 316 to an m3 shell, but its looking a little rough. i am thinking of getting it acid dipped before welding in the cage or doing any main repair work. can anyone recomend anyone in the suffolk area who could do this, also has anyone ever done this to there car and how much does it cost. thanks.

Not sure of cost but make sure you seam weld the car if you plan on using it for the track.

I've transported a couple of cars to a place in dudley w mids, could get you the details, not cheap mind, think including the base coat dip after the acid dip- (ment to be very good better then conventional primer & can weld on it), its circa £1500 area

Forgive my ignorance here guys, but as I'm looking to restore my shell in the next year or so, am I right in saying that Acid dip is a quicker better way to strip your shell as opposed to shot blasting it? How do they deal with any rust issues, or do they just dip it and coat it? Is this method better for rust prevention in the future?
