Godspeed has given me a contact name of a company who do flocking in Banbury. Thanks Ian
Have any of you guys used a company in the South of England, who did you use and would you recommend them?
This is the crowd Ian recommended, after a brief conversation I would say they know their stuff

Sticky backed black fuzzy felt works just as well and is much cheaper.

I contacted the guys from centralblast cleaning about a respray, they wanted me to drive 2 hours out of my way before even giving me an indication of the likely costs, suffice to say my car is being resprayed elsewhere

car is going to be white and ford asbo orange, plan is next year to do the inside of the car white with the roll cage asbo
so orange dash would look good but would it be a distraction and do funny things with reflections on the windows
dips any pics of anything orange? or a swatch I could get?

Rowdyburns also offers flocking services in Suffolk, infact he owns suffolk flocking services!
He did Martins blue M3 turbo and thats was the first time I'd ever seen it in the flesh, m3 turbo and flocking that is.

I would be interested in knowing how much you would charge to do a dashboard for a 325i and where in the country you are. I have obtained a quote from the guys I detailed when I started the thread, but as yet I havent committed to anything.

Evening chaps,
As fozzy has already mentioned, I own Suffolk Flocking Services.
You can check out some examples of proper flocking in the gallery on my website.
www.suffolkflockingservices.co.uk
We have done dashes for top teams in national rallying, time attack and recently BTCC.
Flocking can only be correctly be done with 60,000 volt electrostatic equipment which makes the fibres stand on end and propels the fibre end on into the adhesive. Without the static charge the coating would be un-durable and shed its fibres. It would also be un-uniform, patchy and not have the same anti glare properties.
Feel free to give me a call or drop me an email if you want to know more.
Doug.

Thanks for the update Doug, as said previously you will be getting my business.
Just a small note on your website. I think it would be beneficial if it were possible to click on your gallery pictures and open them up full size (bigger). It would make it easier to see what flocking is like and all about then
Speak to you very soon
