Does anyone have any idea of the weight difference between poly and normal glass windows?

It's not as substantial as you might think. On a 205 it's someting like 14kg.
If I can I will have some though

Have been looking at poly windows to, do you think it would be better to just buy some poly and make your own using the originals as templates.
Several m^2 of poly = £30
Poly window set = £150+
Any differcults, has any one done this before?

Some of the poly kits really are crap and fit badly and the better kits are thermoformed to fit perfectly, weight saving is enough to make a difference but IMO the main benefit is safety, perspex doesn't shatter on impact! P4P are a quality company, part of the reason why I am a distributor!

Mate of mine was helping prep a jag track car last year and just bought a sheet of poly, made the windows and pop'd them into place. Piece of cake apparently!!

Depends if you want proper motorsport quality perspex that is thermoformed and cut to size, if you don't then any old crap will do!

I presume these prices are for flat panels not thermoformed? It is good kit, just supplied a few of their kits and have some lovely grey smoked ones going into my E36 as I write
