E30 Zone

Attached is a short clip from a 3hr endurance race at Watkins Glen a few weeks back. You are onboard a 1985 e30 318i with M10, locked 4.10 rear, coilovers (550# fronts, 700# rears), revamped bilsteins, powerflex bushings all around, and solid rear subframe bushings, and cornerweights dialed to within 3 pounds. While she is vastly underpowered (to my liking anyway), she does handle like a dream. I am open to any suggestions to give my M10 more umph to make her more competitive. Anyone out there change out the L-Jetronic for something better? (Megasquirt?)

There were 62 cars that started the race of many different categories (Miatas outnumbered everyone). Team Jagermeister finished 38th overall and 1st in Improved Touring B, 7 laps ahead of an Alfa.

Looked like you had a huge bag of fun out of the day - i personaly wouldn't care where i came in the ratings, it's the being there + having ago that counts.

The transmission sound from your car was the nuts mate - is it straight cut??

That whine was from the differential. My co-driver changed the 3.9 ring and pinion for a 4.10. I think he shimmed it wrong. With the season at a close, and the snow about to fly, we'll opened up the diff over the winter and redo it.

It was a lot of fun. I'm looking to get more out of that little M10 motor too. Any ideas?
