Tyre suggestion please for M52B28 road car on a track day

Looking at taking my fairly standard M52B28 on a track day.

Will be running it on 15 inch BBS alloys and want some suggestions as to what tyres I should run on.

I used to run a stripped out E30 on Toyo R888s but that weighed less than 1000 kg and I'm guessing a standard road car is more like 1250 kg so I was wondering if that was too heavy to get the full benefit of R888s with no suspension modifications.

The long-term plan is to turn it into a track car, but I'm in no great hurry and I want to see how it would go on track before throwing money at a decent set of tyres.

Ideally, I'd like some some sort of tyres that I can also drive to and from the track on. I had found R888s to harsh for the road so used to change wheels when I got there.

Any suggestions welcome.

Yoko Neova AO48s look like a good compromise and are cheap enough - that's probably what I'm going to end up putting on mine next time.

I had federal 595 on my e36 m3 (17" wheels) and they are great value for money.

Ns2r are good buy they're a really heavy tyre! A trade off for the price I guess!
