Mtec Swaybar Any good? Or go right to Aftermarket?

Hello.

I was going to post this in Technical, but thought the track thread might have more users who have experimented with swaybars.

I have a E30 325i it's a Road car, but I love how it handles with it's new bushes and Bilstein struts, new springs etc.

I'd like to get it handling ever better. Just wondering is it worth going from Stock swaybar to an Mtec (Mtech?) One, or is there aftermarket ones that are way better?

From what I understand the 318is has a upgraded swaybar, is this another good direct replacement option. I'm hoping to notice some difference with an MTEC one.

Is there any negative affects of HD / Aftermarket swaybars on E30 suspension setup ?

Thanks.

It is my opinion that if you were to go out and buy an adjustable sway bar kit (like the Eibach kit for example), then you will not see any negative effect during normal street driving as the bar really only has any affect during aggressive cornering. Therefore for around town, you will not notice it.

The adjustable bar is good because you can adjust it to suit what you are looking for. Sure, even on the softest setting it will likely be stiffer than the factor bar, but it will not be like upgrading to stiffer springs and dampers (which will significantly effect the ride of the car).
