FAO Brianmooore / E34 brake rod.

Brian,

I have seen many times you making reference to the fact that the E34 RHD brake rod is thicker than the E30 and thus offers less flex. How ever both rods are in tension and not compression when the driver pushes down on to the pedal.

Am I missing a trick? How can the rod 'flex' under tension at any noticeable degree? Any links to examples?

Has anyone else made this modification?

Thanks in advance!

Andrew

Ive never seen Brian state its thicker? Its the same thickness rod, 10mm thread on each end which is why it can be cut down to the required length and used when moving the servo over on an E30

I actually cannot find the posts :(

In any case, if the rods both have the same cross sectional area then I don't need to worry about it!

Maybe you could convert it to a fine pitch thread? :)
