Target for me to try the car out, just need a bit of garage time to get the car finished off first. Should be done next week but all a bit unpredictable so won't be booking up until I definitely have a car.

There are still places available, I booked mine earlier in the week. What's the spec of your car Brian?

Not that far off standard mechanically really apart from a lot of weight off, it's a TTRS/Project8 racing 318is that I've converted to M20 so has a cage and race safety stuff. Gaz suspension, inboard springs at the back, standard brakes with different front pads (can't remember what), polybushed. The engine has been built, that's the main reason for the run out to check eveything hangs together before any race entries. Again pretty standard but some bolt ons, BTB 6 branch mated to Miltek exhaust, lightened flywheel, warm cam, off the shelf chip. Will be on whatever 195/50 tyres the local National depot have in the scrap pile :drive:

Few pops n chuffs but haven't spent any time on it recently.

I'm doing the 24hr at Silverstone on the 22nd so I won't be able to come any way.

Keevil or Silverstone 24hr, tough choice :D . What are you driving? Got the car taxed today, all being well will get it finished off and out of the garage for the weekend so can get a few road miles on it to make sure everythings going Ok. Bristol_Jer, will you be in the E30 in your avatar? Will keep an eye out.

I'll be throwing wheels at a Porsche, no driving sadly lol!

BTW where did you say the oil leak was on this engine? There is a rather substantial one under it but I can't work out where it's coming from (not been able to get underneath it properly). It seems to be forming under the steering rack but it's defo engine oil

Front cover was my best guess, but if it's around the rack could be sump gasket, much easier fix if so

Fk it, no room at the inn. I'll give them a bell later on to see if it's worth turning up in case of a no show/somebody else having car problems. Having said that I've still not test driven my car, the mother in law is staying all week (from Italy) and I'm getting the evil eye from my missus if I even look towards the garage

Tash and Ed are normaly pretty good with squeezing people in. They often have people fall out due to facking their cars or just going home and offer the last couple of hours or so at a reduced rate.

Thats a shame, someone at work tried booking this week too. When he phoned up they said a few people have only booked up for the morning, so there might be some afternoon tracktime available.

Half a dozen "extras" are already turning up in the hope of some time later on during the day when things go wrong for others. Bit too far for me on the offchance, will have to be next time. Hope the day goes well, weather looks brilliant for the end of Sept.
