Decided not to go with the Gaz shocks in the end as they needed my front struts to fit them up and they wasnt going to be adjustable in anyway so i changed to Koni sport adjustable kit which comes with the springs, this where my question comes in, dose any one know the spring rates for the 35mil springs as i have searched high and low on the internet but with no luck, if its worth it i may get some other springs to fit as i want them to fairly hard for the track and it wont see many miles on the road...

you can't just whack some super stiff springs on some road shocks.

I understand that, what im realy trying to find out is if its worth useing the springs which come with the kit (depending on there rate) or mixing things up a little by fitting different springs which have a slightly firmer rate.... hence why im after the spring rate for the koni's, I am i right in thinking you fitted these shocks to an e30 in the past ?

yes and didn't like them. Replaced them with Bilsteins.
But whatever "street" shock you buy, it won't work with spring rates above 400lbs (front).
Or not as good as it should.
You can send the springs to Faulknersprings to get them tested. Doesn't cost a lot and you will know where you stand.

UweM3 can i ask when you fitted your koni's were they adjustable on the front from the top of the strut and if so could you use your original top mounts ?

Just a quick up date, spent most of the day fitting the Konis at a leisurely pace, there was a couple of parts i would have like to have replaced while i was there like the strut collars, shock/piston dust covers and the dust shields that are fitted to the bottom of the struts but besides that the car feels nice and tight, just need some dry weather now for a propper test drive...
