Fabricage?

Anybody had any experience of these guys? Are they even still in business for that matter as I don't seem to be able to find any up to date contact details?

Just mulling over cages but as is always the way there seems to be several 'scare' stories on forums (or at least stories about appalling fitment/customer service etc) regarding cages by everyone from rollcentre to custom cages to safety devices so not really sure who's reliable for good quality and trouble free fitment?

Not sure where you are, but I can personally recommend these guys in Southampton on the south coast.

http://www.rawmotorsport.co.uk/ speak to Robin Welsh, he did the cage in our car when he worked for another company and did a fantastic job.

Ok cheers for the info, I'm based near Oxford so not too far in terms of things. If you don't mind me asking how much did that cost you, and did you need to weld up the sunroof?

Ah cool. You've got primary designs over your way then.

I've got a friend over near Milton Common who preps rally cars if you fancy buying a cage to have installed?

Ok yeah that could definitely be a possibility though I've got a guy who usually does bodywork and prep stuff for me but never hurts to have someone close by! Where are primary designs based, have to admit I haven't heard of them... EDIT: In Thame I see from their website  Ha didn't know that!

Jackflash, the basic cage was about £800, completelty created / painted / fitted etc. We added a couple of extras such as extra door bars (to make them X) an extra diagonal and harness bar for the passenger side so it came to about £1000 all in. We've had it extended since to the front turrets too.

Thanks for the info, the cage looks very good quality from your pics. Excellent website by the way, been looking through your build photo diary and it's a very helpful read
