Removal of ABS unit

Is the above easy to do?

The unit looks quite heavy and therefore looks like some weight could be saved (abs doesn't work anyway).

I guess just swap over for a standard cylinder or am I being too simplistic?

it's no big deal. but you should remove all the wiring to make the most of the weight saving. It is a LOT of wires.
Are you 100% sure about this? I had mine removed and still regret it a little. All the troubleshooting done?

The ABS doesn't work. I've never felt an issue with braking.

I don't really need it either, but it's nice to know that there is a bit of safety for the "oh shit" moments when you come across something out of your control.

i've been looking at doing this too since my abs has been disconnected for years.

i understand there is a blanking plate under the existing cylinder and you can run off that.

would be really helpful if someone who has done this could post up some instructions or link to a thread detailing how it was done...

I'd second that.

I've done it but I've also used a larger M/C. Saves a fair bit of weight.

I've got some photos somewhere.

I will probably be fitting a pedal box in the near future so my larger M/C will be up for grabs.
