What's in your e30 garage?
I'm on a budget like most of us, I'm not off to buy the latest Beema or other marques to loose money as soon as I drive them off the forecourt?
Here are my three
1988 325 track car:
Used for : so much fun on the track
1996 Fiat Barketta - mint - 25000 miles
Used: Sunny days and leaving MX5's behind
1996 E36 328is
Used: Daily driver, wet roads and twisties to use the LSD tail out action
All in £8000 ? Guessing here:
So what have you got?

1981 mitsubishi lancer in storage- imported it from new zealand,
1987 mitsubishi starion widebody-needs engine and drive train putting together,
1989 mitsubishi starion widebody 2.6- my new road car just havent had time to collect it off present owner,
1995 vauxhall frontera 2.3 td- currently used by my girlfriends dad on his field (until i need a tow car)

None of my cars ever live in a garage but I know what you mean...
1991 325i Sport - My Daily driver and main mode of transport, takes me up and down the country, shopping, work etc, just had all new suspension and bushes (& new ARB's) at the beginning of the year too...
1990 318i - the track toy. It doesn't do too badly for a good old 318i with a keep fit sunroof
although these help it round the track too
310mm wilwoods
...and an S50B30

NO room for the cars as ever

,, would not hesitate to own another new car, had a 1.1 pop plus fezza from new and drove it for a 150,000 miles over 13 years. Cost me 6k at the time never touched it with a spanner and it only ever needed the usual tyres and brakes.
That was a great little car and even used to carry 3 of us and all our skiing kit all over Europe on our hols and never ever let me down,, depreciation never came it to it really just good value for money imho.

Bit of an old thread resurrection, but just found this and felt the need to share:
Cars I would like to own

Not an E30 I know, but a Group 5 E21, so a close family member.
Cars I do own (part of)

Cant find any pictures of my RX7 convertible at the moment, when its next out of the garage, I'll take a couple.
Bikes I own

The bike is currently up for sale, so if anyones interested at around £4k, let me know.

my neighbours just love me......!
e36 evo - i've done 50,000 miles in it in 3 years
its now retired to weekend duty only so bought the cheap E38 with 200+k miles and LPG conversion on ebay and get eqiv of 50mpg!
E30 325 track car - loads been done to it - its been in a few zoners hands over the years - lots of fun - probably going to get a towbar for the e38 so i can tow it to trackdays etc to save on tax, mot and ins etc
....oh, and no garage, so maintainence is limited to the summer months!

Hi, Simon
and a happy new year to you and yours.
The car is being worked on as I type. Dan is down at the workshop welding in new rear wheelarch repair sections to replace the beaten up originals. I'll be getting involved in final body prep from tomorrow - the plan is to have it painted within two weeks. Then FINALLY we can start putting it together again - I'll post some pics when there's something worth seeing.
To post pics you need to open a Photobucket or similar file hosting account and once you've uploaded the pics on to there, embed the IMG code of the pictures (visible if you put the cursor over the picture) in your forum post - simples!
I'll look forward to seeing your car again.
Hoping to get ours running in the first half of the year, built to be suitable for DMN, SE Tintops, CTCRC Classic Thunder, etc.
Speak to you soon
Kim.

Ok, here goes. I live in a flat, my daily is outside, 2009 Skoda VRS estate. I rent a lockup, which is full of parts, as is the spare room in the flat. My 1990 325i cabby is hibernated in my mate's parents garage 30 miles away and my 1990 325i Sport resto is in a bay in a large garage 25 miles from home (in the opposite direction to where the cabby is !).
No pics, but it's a tale of woe !
Plan's are to buy a house with a double garage and a large driveway this year, I've had enough !
