Hi all, heres a stupid question, does anyone make a rollcage for tourers? If not does anyone know a good company in westyorkshire that could make one for me?
Cheers, Scottidog

Hi Scottidog - we were going to get a custom one made for our 4 door from a company in Burnley I think it was.
The price started out at 850 and climbed to 1350 once we had put down a deposit

They were not straight with us at the outset. We got our deposit back but wasted our time and theirs.
Fieldl knows more of the details.

I dont see why you need a special cage

Dont need a special cage, and im sure a saloon cage could be made to fit quite easily.

Yep my thoughts too. The saloon/coupe cages only mount to the floor and rear wheel arch. There is no interaction with the roof, or rear C-pillar.
Besides, you won't be riding in the back, so it would not matter if that caved in during a roll over.

From experience it would take a heck of a lot to cave the back end in during a rollover...
I would like a cage though! As far as I know most of the caged tourings on here use the 4 door saloon cages and the owners seem pretty happy with it!

I've fitted a 2door cage in the touring with no issues what so ever, however I had to remove the sunroof assembly.

A coupe cage will fit fine, if fitting a 2 door cage the only issue you come across is the B-pillar doesn't line up with the centre hoop.
It sits back and on some 2 door cage brands the door bar will foul on the B Pillar
If you are getting a weld in cage made though it will be made to fit the car so not an issue
I can highly recommend Dave Kear (based in Essex) for a weld in cage, he has done many saloons, a tourer and recently a convertible race car (we think it may be the first???) 07831831846- he is in high demand though so may not be able to get on it immediately
