Track day pads - Mintex Extreme

I had these on my track day only 325 and got about 5 or 6 track days out of them. (Ok, so they probably lasted much longer than on some peoples cars, but i don't drive as hard as some people as I am still very much a beginner!)
car is stripped and caged and comes in at under 1000kgs and i found these pads a good compromise of price and performance (£38 for front pair) and i could get them from my local GSF.

I gather Mintex no longer make them so i could do with something comparable (price and performance)

I am sorry if the "what brake pads question" gets done to death on here and eveyone has different opinions, but any suggestions?

I don't care if they squeal and create loads of brake dust - its a track only car and if they take a lap to warm up too that is fine.
Have looked at EBC Yellowstuff - about twice the price, would they be twice the quality?

I had some good results with AXXIS Ultra. But this is still a road pad, not like yellowstuff.
But doesn't squeal and is very good to the disks. Add some proper brake cooling (to the centre of the disk) and you may get away with less expensive pads than yellowstuff. A cool brake is most of the time a happy brake.
PAGID Blue are very good as well, but probably to pricey for you. (and yes I dislike Ferodo 2500 winkeye )

I've been thinking the same recently, I found that the mintex extremes didn't last me as long as I was expecting but then the ATE bog standard pads that replaced them while I was poor and in a hurry have lasted even less time. Where do you guys buy your brake bits from?

fit proper cooling, it will make a difference.

I got my pads from the US. PBR is the manufacturer if AXXIS.
Different box, same pads --> cheaper. I ordered a box full of them for the whole season. (3set front and rear)

Carbotech XP10 and XP8 are said to be very good pads. Waiting my sets to test them.

Expensive but I love Mintex M1144 compound. If that's a little too soft go to 1155.

We have got pagid rs29 front pads on the race car - costs about £130 a set but they should see us through a season of racing and a few track days also.
