E30 Zone

What have people done about the wiring that runs across the floor when stripping out their E30s? I'm in the process of taking mine apart and am wondering what can be ditched or moved. I will probably convert to manual windows so that gets rid of those switches but what have poeople done about the wing mirrors? Can you get rid of the switch and just move the mirrors manually, or is it worth getting a set of manual DTM style mirrors and getting shot of the wiring altogether? Discuss......

lose the wires and move the mirrors manually, or buy the dtm style ones from demon tweeks they are cheap and fit pretty well with a bit of work,
