Oulton driftday Feb 21st - E30 discounts!

Hi Fellas

Some of you will know me from the Trackaction-Online drift and trackdays that we've run this year, we've had E30s at all of our events and it's been great to see them out there getting used properly 8) .

Our next two events are coming up and we've agreed some discounts for E30 members winkeye .

In March we are running a trackday at Cadwell Park (CLICK HERE FOR INFO) but first up we are heading for Oulton Park on Feb 21st for a driftday on their polished tarmac drift stages. These are two tight twisty circuits which are surfaced with a low-traction tarmac that is ideal for practicing oversteer control and drift techniques. The low grip finish is very easy to drive and slide on and has the added bonus of being kind to your tyres compared with most types of tarmac and concrete. This is the ideal event for rear or four wheel drive cars and anyone who wants to learn more about how their car reacts in a slide without risking lamposts, armco or the boys in blue!

This is the kind of feedback we had from our last day there -
The track really is unbelivably slippy, but once you get used to being a bit more delicate its great fun.

All in all a fantastic day, never waited more that 3 mins in line, sometimes just went strait out again.

I will definatly be at the next one.

Had a great day..
Just got back. What a great day out. That much fun should be illegal.

Thanks for all involved in organising it
The second most fun I've ever had in a car
- this was from an E30 driver :chuckle: .

This is a shot of part of stage 1 taken when I was instructing there in Caterhams

We limit the numbers that we allow on the day to ensure that everyone gets plenty of tracktime and we include free instruction for anyone that wants it.

Our normal rate for the event is £140 but we have agreed a club discount so members can come along for only £120. Passengers can be signed in for just £10 and extra drivers for £35.

Any of the E30s will drift well on this event so if you want a real fun day get your names down!

Please post up any questions that you have or let us know if you'd like to come along and I'll sort out booking details and discount codes :D

Cheers

Steve H

Id love to give this ago, unfortunatly my e30 will be no where near built by that time. I'll have to come down and have a watch though as its only down the road for me!

Interested to know how sippy that surface actually is. Would a 1.9tdi audi quattro tank be of any good for this?

We've had other 4wd stuff and there will be a bunch of Evos coming along but tbh I'd suggest you come along but wait till the beemer is sorted before you go out there, we've had a few of them on our days before and they go so well it would be worth the wait!

I'm booked on, taking the £600, 325i Touring for it's first outing. Just gotta change the diff. It's a good day out, I went twice last year when I had my Honda S2000. There was a few guys in E30's and they seemed to have a better laugh in their cars than I did in mine.

Another great day and the first time for my 325i Touring, did it twice last year in my S2000 but I had far more fun with the red shed yesterday. Just need a quicker rack now for the next event in May. I'd seriously recommend these drift days, as there's virtually no stress to your car and no wear or damage to tyres.

you seemed to be having a shed load of fun wixer,, for drifting i would definitely recommend a Z3 rack it makes a world of difference,

Just found this link from saturday. There's a few more decent pics on other threads. I've got a few good shots of my car on this site.

Yeh, the old shed has turned out to be worth every one of it's £600. It was my mate Martyn's first time drifting and he's hooked and can't wait for the next event.

Shame I didn't get chance to have a quick 'spin' in your car to check out the Z3 rack. Got hold of an E36 one yesterday at a local breakers, £75, which I didn't think was a bad price.

Maybe see you at the next event.

Cheers
Phil
