Hi can anyone out there recommend a good Engine tuner, i'm building an e30 for a 2 ltr championship in the Middle east, the rules are free as far as engines go only that they must run a single throttle body with 50mm restrictor and be 2 ltr, my budget is not bottomless and i need a quick turn around as the championship starts in october, so any help contacts etc would be very appreciated
please help me beat the honda civics!!!!!!

HI
You need a 2.0l s14 or 2.0l m42 with a custom inlet manifold asuming you have to run a bmw engine. 3-5k miniumm.

3-5k for a tuned 2.0l S14 is a bit optimistic if you aske me. Especially considering that he can't use the throttle bodies.
How much bhp do you need to beat the Civics? that will dictate your budget.
Otherwise I would suggest using a different engineif you can, not BMW
2liter Vauxhall etc.

Hi
I was thinking 5k for a rebuilding a 2.0 s14 with stand alone a set of cams and a fabricated inlet manifold. It cost me near 5k to rebuild my s14 and the only upgrades where pistons, stand alone and a carbon airbox, I already had a set of uprated cams and dry sump.
Jason
PS buy this plus a gearbox
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=008
and get nigel a carrerea fabricaton to make an inlet manfold and there you go.
There are plenty of engine builders do you have an engine to build I woudl expect the oen inthe thonk to make 2k, one one ebay.de just made 3.5k

bmw spares in ashford kent had a 4 door 320iS lurking, was the bosses sons toy and has not moved in 6 years for defo, £1.5K would secure the complete car, although Geoff from ETA Motorsport was sniffing around it...

Is that STILL there? It had taken a detour into a pond IIRC.
