Hiya folks...

Built ourselves a 325i circuit racer, running with a standard tank. And yes, we suffered from fuel starvation!!

So we got a nice new swirl pot to put in the sparwheel well, but not sure what external pump to use for the engine feed...

Also, does anyone know exactly what pressure the in-tank pump runs at?

Any advice, or recomendations would be appreciated

(have a budget of £150 max for the pump)

Thanks fella`s....

AFAIK, the standard in-tank pump will provide about 4-5 bar. This is dropped to 3.5 for the 325 (3 for the 320) by the fpr valve.
I'd duplicate the current system.
Run the feed from the tank to the swirl pot, using the standard pump, with a return pipe from the top of the swirl pot back to the tank. This will ensure the swirl pot stays full, but isn't pressurised. Put another standard pump in the swirl pot, feeding the injector rail. The fuel return pipe from the engine can feed back into the swirl pot, or just be teed into the tank return.
