Great on a road car, probably not ideally suited to a track car - so I'd say it depends on whether you meant to post in this section or not!

You'll want it low and stiff for drifting, ideally get some coilovers but on a budget, there are plenty of matched spring damper combinations that will drop the car 60mm and stiffen it up. Bilstein stuff is excellent but it costs quite a bit because of this. Keep an eye out for a sale on something a little less subtle but a little more suited to your required usage

I had b8's in my old 316i and a 60/40 drop and it felt very nice. Not sure how it would of been on a track

Forgot to mention that I also have B8s and they're very good but are a small fortune to buy and they're not adjustable, something that and on track, would be a nice option to have. As a road option they're excellent.
