Does anyone know for PBMW if you have to run horn, rear number plate lights and reversing light? cant find these in regs, as surely not required.

Thanks

Horn and rear number plate lights yes (as cars have to be capable of passing an mot) reversing lights no (as not an MOT requirement) but if you are stripping the reversing light wiring from the loom then debatable as my reading of the regs is that this isn't allowed (ie unless it says you can then you can't :?: ) , they don't have to be working but you can't strip all of the reversing light wiring out of the loom. Probably best to check with committee just in case, thought tbh can't see anybody getting in a tizz over it.

Greener,

Not sure what cage you are using but a post on the SELOC site woiuld be useful Im sure.

Im using a Sparco with which the 'A' post cage legs pass through the dash, I simply used a hole saw right through the dash top, the plastic ductwork/funelling was removed the the 'side' vents as were the side vents themselves.
Only the windscreen ductwork now remains a la PBMW regs.

What cage? Mine has a bar custom cage, when mine was installed Dave Kear put the plastic vents in and then the cage ie build the cage around it as it has to stay in the car. He did the same with the rear view mirror.

As above best place to post is on SELOC, and or email info@pbmwc.co.uk
