I fitted my trackday car with coilovers all round, the car sat with the top of the tyres just below the arch, car went well but when it oversteered it would snatch back violently sometimes spinning you back the other way. After the 3rd time of hitting barriers / banks I had a really good look into why this happened. I spoke to a guy that races a E30 M3 he said he had the same issue it was the rear shox bottoming out. I turreted the rear by 2 inches and hay presto sorted. So if you run the rear low have a check and save yourself a trip into the barrier.
Hope this is of some help to someone.

Info for people that run coilovers low at the rear

and if you keep lowering the car like this your tyres will hit the wheel arches on the inside and "brake" your wheels. There is a limit to things. I don't even want to mention the angle of your drive shafts when lowered extremly.
Are you shure your shocks bottomed out and not your spring got coil bound? Are you running bumb stops on your rear shocks? What shocks are you running+spring rates?

I put this up so other people do not make the same mistake not for silly comments, the top of the tyres are just below the arches and driveshaft are only just off straight. The coilover kit is GAZ gold 275lbs rear 500lbs front they have bumpstops and yes im sure its not the springs getting coilbound.

maybe you should have done some homework first before you
attempt to fit coil over rears. (or is that another silly comment?)
Because there is a thread all the way down on the strut body doesn't mean you can wind it all the way down. Checking suspension travel when lowering is a must IMHO.
I am sure if you would have communicated with GAZ they will be able to supply a shorter shock to get your car as low as you want it without cutting sheet metal. But there is a limit to this as well of course, not every combination is possible.
your drive shaft might be straight when car is static but have a look at some cars when cornering hard. You might be surprised how much of the tyre disapperes in the wheel arch.
and before you call me silly, it wasn't me hitting the barrier 3 times....
