For those who are watching this thread and might be interested: I've had a chance to look at/photograph the WMS 2.0mm offset spacers.
The price worked out at £19.20+vat/pr, so a bit more than cast cheap ones but I think it's well worth it personally and I'm happy with them!
- 6082 Aluminium, water cut to avoid heat distortion/lumpy edges. Obviously far more accurate than stamped or cast versions...
- Very accurate thickness due to being cut from sheet.
- 2.0mm thick, use to get the offset exactly back to standard when using G60-based 280mm kits.
- Hub-centric on the E30 when using the 5mm-flange 280mm disc (Wilwood and WMS).
- Full-contact to spread wheel loads properly (no wasted holes), also allows maximum heat passage from the disc to the wheel for cooling.
* Probably NOT hub-centric on cars with the 260mm disc as they have full-thickness 7.0mm flanges, thereby "covering" the centre of the hub.
If you want custom versions of these (thicker 280mm type, 260mm type, thicker 260mm type etc) please let me know and I'll be happy to quote. There's a price drop at 5pr, but I can do one-off pairs if badly needed for some reason!
Photos showing the advantage over normal wheel spacers:

WMS 2.0mm spacers showing hub-centric location.

"Cast type" 5mm spacers showing lack of hub-centric location!

MassiveBrakes just did a group buy over on R3vlimited.com for a 280mm x 22mm kit using wilwood dynapro calipers w/ brakets and corrado rotors and 3mm spacers for $660us. He says after the holidays he was going to put some on ebay and would even sell just the brakets for those who want to piece a kit together on their own...
Lee does great BBK work and other misc BMW goodies (aluminum racing seat mounts and S14/2002 stuff) and is located in Monteal Canada
Here is a link to his group buy http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthr ... 941&page=5
or his website http://www.massivebrakes.com/ (not sure if this group buy stuff is on his site however)

The Massive Brakes brackets look ok and the guy knows his stuff, but are only post-machined laser-cut steel and $180/pr plus shipping from the US. Maybe I should be exporting!

I know I'm going to chuck a spanner in the works but I'm working on a set F&R Porsche calipers and brackets which should fit on a set of 300mm discs min. Maybe go for a set of 16" wheels to widen your choices?

if you cant wait then get on to hi-spec as i got a set of 4 piston front calipers with brackets, braided steel lines, fluid, ebc disks & red stuff pads for just over £500.
just a thought though.
just a thought though.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

WMS for me. If I can get the money by end of the month I will try and get one of the 2 kits that are left. Othee wise I am top of the list for next batch. Is 280mm the biggest for bbs?

Regarding Hi-Spec, I've never really needed to compete with them head to head due to their legendary reputation! Don't take my word for it though: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&sa ... port&meta=

Of course anyone who's been waiting gets priority if there's a tie over a kit, but other than that it's first come, first served.
Dezzy, will you have adjustable bias? I might be able to short you something bigger-disc and "really silly" under the 15" BBS if you can dial out the effect of 1.62/1.75 staggered pistons?
On a random note, one of the "WMS Sponsored" TVR racers can be seen racing on TV! For those who stay up LATE to watch Race and Rally UK "motorsport-monday" on (CH4 or 5?) it's Dave Chant in the Class 3 Red Tasmin. Please note that the class A and class B cars are all going to be faster as they have MUCH more power, there are only two other class C cars in each race.
Here's a link to see the previous shows, click on the TVR Challenge to see Dave in the wars! http://www.amgtv.co.uk/webtv2.shtml - (...did having WMS brakes helped him avoid that big shunt though...??)
And yes, that girl who races a V8 TVR IS called Christina Totty!
Here's Dave in action, calm and restrained.....!

Each re-stock batch is SUPPOSED to take about a month, normally takes longer though for some reason unknown to me.
As for HiSpec, my favourite customer's quote was this one: "He threatened to throw my parts through my windscreen and then threw the axle out of his door - again, in front of his customers. "

Nice bloke. I find that's the best way to do business. People seem to respond best to pri*ks getting aggressive with customers. Repeat business anyone?

It's "-3 Speedflex" hose...not sure if that's the same as 600-3? I can indeed supply the ends with olives, just can't give you a price at the moment as all the info for them is at home!BadDave wrote:Kerikeri-WMS wrote:Just reading this and noticed there were no shots of the lines - so here they are (the improved ones):

They can be retro-fitted to existing WMS/Earls lines, but as you say the olives would need renewing etc.
