Hi, having trouble getting parts together to put my Touring through the MOT. Failed on headlamp adjuster, the hydraulic switch under the steering... anyway, the garage has asked for the following to secure the light clusters.

From realOEM :
09 - Adjusting screw : 8 off : 63121385397
10 - Intermediate piece : 4 off : 63121395252
11 - Joint sleeve (part has no quantity and is for use with adjusting headlamps) : 63121386616

would appreciate any help given!

Remove the switch if not fitted doesn't have to be tested I believe.

Yes, would have in hindsight, garage have tested it and failed it. Now it is listed as fitted equipment on the car and it must be repaired.

63121378369 £2.91 each, the number you had ending 616 is for the auto adj you are taking out.

You may not need the qtys you had if you are only removing the auto adj set up

I am actually replacing the adjuster unit and will require the 63121386616 parts, though I will have to check how many are required as the quantity was marked with an 'X' prefix on the Real OEM site.

I would think it would be 63 12 1 394 251 but if you give me the reg or VIN I will double check

There used to be a difference if the car had ABS as the pipes routed differently but only the 251 part number is available and it now shows the 251 for both ABS and no ABS.

Hi, the pt no I had from the supplier which was Hella 6NH003 395 - 211.
Can you give me a price on that assembly please?

The 251 would cost £177.42, there is no stock at all at BMW either in the UK or Germany.

I cannot cross reference the Hella part number I am afraid.

Is it something that can be back ordered. I'm really in a bind with this now!

In my honest opinion this will be months to get in as there isn't a delivery date and in my experience it is more likely to be made NLA no longer available than produced.

Hi Jon, still rumbling on with this damn headlight aim control nonsense... think the garage is fed up with it too and have decided to convert it to manual control! (great!)
However they have asked me to source the adjusting screws to make this work. It looks to me to be pt no : 63121385397 - 8 off
Please could you confirm this is what is needed and give me a price please?!

Are you replacing every adjuster of are you just replacing the ones that were previously headlamp aim?

That's a good point, the garage gave me a slightly different pt. no. and said I would need 4 of the adjusters so I guess I only need 4?
I am just replacing the headlamp aim.

Thats weird because each outer headlamp has three fixing points only.

One if a fixed no adjustable pivot point.

One is an adjuster for left to right.

One is vertical adjustment (the automatic adjuster)

If you are just replacing the vert adj mech, you will only need one new adjuster per side.

These will cost £26.71 for the pair and we have them in stock.
