Useful information about suspension bushings materials and theyr advantages:

Some info about ERTALON.
· high mechanical strength
· good fatigue resistance
· high mechanical damping ability
· good sliding properties
· excellent wear resistance
High mechanical strength and damping ability makes it way better choice than aluminium. It simply just last longer, that's why i have installed it to my e30.

(Look for nylon )

WHY POLYURETHANE?

First of all rubber vs poly

Poly has high advantage over lasting time here ;)

Second. Design
Stock bushings has some space left for movements, they aren't fully filled with rubber.(http://www.turnermotorsport.com/image/s ... sfm_lg.jpg)
it's alright if you drive like a grandpa becouse you don't feel any bumps from the road, your drive is smooth and so on..
But this is definately something you don't want to feel (wobly back) when you are trying to push your car hard. When you have your car stiff, you know what to expect, you can feel the limit, so you can enjoy it more...

All aftermarket poly bushings are fully filed with polyurethane. So they are already stiffer and making your car more responsive..

What grade Ertalon is used for your bushes? Is it just a trade name for Nylon then?
