how can that "bangle designed" piece of shyte be anything to do with e30's?
Built like a 1980's proton, and with looks that make you puke

i quite like it apart from the standard god awful 1 series headlights. was hoping a facelift would kill them off

I don't like any of CB's designs either.
Nice to see the revival of another historic BMW moniker though.
Tii.....?

All BMW's are built like Proton's now tho.
It's the right attitude tho - tasty engines in small, light RWD Coupes.
The 3-Series now makes the E30 look like a toy car.
I bet it's bigger than the 5-Series of yore.

may well be, i park behind one now and again and at first i thought it was a 5 series.

Cars are getting bigger.
E60 is virtually the same size as E23
E90 ditto E28
Latest Astra ditto 1st FWD Cavalier
The list is endless.

Looks like shit in my opinion.....doesn't even compare to an e30 as far as styling goes.....

Again - not in looks but in terms of packaging / target audience.

This is not nice. I don't see how it is the "E30's official successor". Doesn't compare.

I think it is more of a 2002 tii secsesor. I mean i think that is what they were going for.
I don't really like the looks that much but it does have a few good looking angles.
I would say the z4 coupe is the on;y good desgin to come from the bangle era bmws

The statement E30 successor will only be claimed when there is as many of them around with dedicated followers that we have on here... in 25 years time.
Case closed is my guess!!!

I reckon the coupe is the prettiest 1 series, but that still doesn't make it a pretty car...

Judged in isolation, I love it! wonder which would make the better everyday tool, a chipped and breathed on 135i or one of those... hmm..
