Bought an E36 with M50TU engine in over the weekend from DazLeeds. Starting to stripdown this week and then will call someone to get whatever is left over collected and scrapped.
What I want to know is
1. What do I need to remove for the M50 to work in my E30??
2. What can I remove to recoup some money on fleabay, anything on these cars worth decent money?
Thanks

Basically what to remove depends on what gearbox your planning to use,M50 or an E30 one?
Assuming your using the M50 box as i did,you will be easier to remove the engine/box as one unit.
Leaving all the engine loom connected to the engine and just trace back to where it joins the main loom/battery/ECU and disconnect there.
Also take the obvious things like MAF/ECU/prop front section/exhaust front and manifolds/radiator etc.
Steering rack is a simple conversion so you may as well fit to yours at the same time or sell for maybe £40 ish?
Front struts may be of use to someone?
Good luck

silver ish?? I can post pics but body is rotten and taken a front end impact.
I'll be using a 318is box cos the car came with an auto, but at least the slushbox means the engine should have had a pretty easy life!
Are E36 auto boxes worth owt? its a switchable sport box and I drove the car 1000 odd miles this weekend and engine and box didn't make a sound and ran very well.

I'd be worried if the engine didn't make
any noise. I'd advise checking it's actually a running engine.

Would have struggled to drive as far as I did over the weekend withought one! You know what I meant compared to my M20 death rattle it was silent.

Sorry mate nowt Mtechish about it, just a plain old 325 SE Auto.
I'm gonna take interior, auto gearbox, rear lights, fog lights, front lights, indicators, side repeators, eleccy window switches, ellecy window motors, central locking module, central locking actuators, sunroof panel and eleccy bits, check control computer, auto box, rearbumper, clocks, tools, windscreen, rad, locks and ignition barrel, rear screen and try shift it all on ebay. It all helps.
For my M50 project I'll need engine, loom, ecu, maf, prop, manifold and exhaust front section I think. But will keep a few other bits just in case too. like rad and fan, but thinking of using a 318is one in the actual e30.
