Probably the only oen left that isn't an oil leaking, steering shuddering overheating heap of shyte. The 92-4 525i Sport manual is a better car now.

Newer, more economical, goes just as well....................all subjective of course, and subject to opinion!
The 535i is ultimately a better car but you try and find one now that isn't knackered. The 525i goes pretty well and the 2.5 M52 is a better engine without the camshaft issues of an old M30.

I thought the M52 didn't make an appearance until late 95. I'm fairly certain the 525 sport is an m50. Cast iron block etc single vanos 93 onwards. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry, I'm wrong (there had to be first time.

). M50 90-92, M50TU (single vanos) 92-95, M52 95-99 and M52 TU (twin vanos) 99-2001, M54 2001-05
Single vanos appeared on the M50 late 1992, change point is around K plate.
