hi all
had a bit of an eye opener the other day...
as a courier i meet quite a lot of different people on a daily basis. last week picked up a parcel from a respectable looking guy. turned out he is a magistrate. got talking about cars then onto BMWs. he then told me if he has someone in court for a traffic offence and they happen to drive a beemer he wont even listen to excuses or circumstance. according to this upstanding menber of society, people only buy a BMW if they are a boy racer at heart and he will therefore never give them the benfit of the doubt. I asked him if this is also true for say a scoobie or other obvious performance car and apparently not. he just has a thing for beemers.
I hate to think how many unfortunate sods have lost thier liscences in his court for straying over 42mph in a 40 zone.
I'm not advocating speeding or driving like an idiot, as you and i know, that the majority of BMW drivers either save it for a track day or are far to fond of thier car to twat it around a sainsburys car park with thw novas and escorts.
needless to say his parcel recieved a rather traumatic ride.
