Nice car :D

Can you actually get it on the drive? I can't get my car on the drive - that far in and it does a beached whale impression!

It's a petrol Sal, is there much to be gained from a remap ?

We remapped our 328i and it made a considerable difference.

We've remapped alot of 330i's and 530i's and every single one of owners has come back saying it has made a noticeable difference.

It's the same as 325i's, people don't buy the chips for no reason.

If you don't notice a difference then you don't pay and the car is reverted back to origional.

Anyway, forgot to say congrats on the new chariot, it is a stunning looking car.

Stunning car mate. I almost traded my 97 E39 in on a 2004 530iASport Touring March 2005 but had to hold back as I was waiting to see about emigrating to Canada. Just as well as I was gone and settled here by Sept' 05.

One of these day I will get one though.......

Enjoy it, such a nice piece of work, Cheers, N

Hello mate - long time no speak :) You should drag yourself up to the Ace Cafe meet mate, you can have a look at it then..

What do you want to know about it ? What options etc ?

It doesn't have the character or the handling of the E30 though blah blah blah............... winkeye

The 530i is a really nice car and they drive a lot better than the 528i's. The manual 530i Sport is a right tool. But don't run it on supermarket fuel! The M54 for whatever reason tends to burn exhaust valves so you need decent fuel. Also lift up the spare wheel cover and check for water ingress - it can happen on these for some reason and the water can build up and bugger the air suspension pump which lives in the spare wheel well. A bit of Waxoil on the inner lip of the tailgate around the seam and drain holes is a good idea too.

Nice purchase anyway! :D

hey mark, yeah what options and how much (i.e. what you get for the price!) - probably not ready to buy just yet - but maybe at the end of the year, so should probably catch up on it :D

i might drag andyp out to the ace then, just got my bike out again for the year :O i presume you mean the bmw meet not a bike one though!!

andy/masterbates/whatever you're called these days winkeye - quite correct re: the e30 - pity it's not the type of character i want to be seen with :P

just kidding, but in all seriousness an e30 needs too much maintenance for my liking (or time!)
