e36??

ok guy im looking to buy an e36. does the 320 have the same engine as the e30? if not r they ne good? n r they dear insurance? 
an E36 320i will have an M50 engine. far stronger and more powerful than the M20 engine. it will be a 6 cylinder 24 valve jobby. the early ones, from '92 to '95/96 (IIRC) were the DOHC type, and the proceeding engines were the DOHC Single VANOS lumps.
My mum had a 320i Convertible '95 with an early engine and a manual box, and it was much faster than her new 320Ci Auto Conv.
the only thing is, as with all 320's, there heavy on the juice, and it is much better to go for the 2.5 lump
